University of Stanford Paper on the Philosophy of Zombies

In my never-ending search for interesting and informative pieces surrounding zombies and their ilk, I came across this University of Stanford paper on Zombies. I think this would definitely fall under the more "informative" (or at least "exhaustive" -- or do I mean "exhausting") pieces I've ever wrangled up.

Here's a Table of Contents to pique your interest:

  • 1. The idea of zombies
  • 2. Zombies and physicalism
  • 3. The conceivability argument
  • 4. Are zombies conceivable?
    • 4.1 Arguments for
    • 4.2 Arguments against
  • 5. Does conceivability entail possibility?
    • 5.1 Objections based on a posteriori necessity
    • 5.2 Other objections
  • 6. Other issues
    • 6.1 Mental causation
    • 6.2 The function of consciousness
    • 6.3 Other minds
